The Shadow I Chose (2018)
I’ve become the gatekeeper of my own memories. Documenting my everyday relentlessly to the present day. My emotions are radical and at times unpredictable. I’d like to think I’m a gentle, thoughtful, peaceful person. However, I find myself here, unable to look at the people of my past and attempting to piece together my identity through shape and shadow. The pictures I make can be thought of as data, records of light that act as a physical representation of a happening. My happiness, my sorrow, my forgetting documented in a way in which I can perceive. These are the shadows of my choosing.
